Like perhaps make the window for starting the chain dash a little wider and having your character glow to indicate when you should press A again (or at least something that suggests that you need to press A in a rhythmic pattern). It's not that I want them to compromise the design, just make it more obvious. The only visual cue that you get is a super subtle very quick animation that occurs when a projectile is near you (by which point you should already be dashing). I love the fact that it expresses so much without any words and through visual design, but why is shit like chain dash and dash shield so needlessly subtle and confusing? I was finally able to figure out that there was a rhythm to chain dashing, but I straight up had to look up how the shield dash even works. However, I have a few criticisms that I was hoping to discuss with other people that also enjoy the game.īasic game mechanics are overly obfuscated. So I just finished the north and the east and I have to say I love this game. ![]()
